We were in San Diego this past weekend and had the opportunity to visit with some friends. They have 2 daughters ages 18 months and 5 years and both of them are an absolute delight. As the evening drew nearer, the girls asked to get out for an excursion. Little did I know that involved a carousel ride but the moment I saw the carousel, I had little doubt that I would ride it. Round and round we went ... trigging every simple, childishly tickling pleasure out of me. Oh, I love those simple things we did as children. I know a part of me has not grown up and I dont think it ever will.

I can almost imagine you on that carousel!
Your blog made an interesting read, seeing how you've moved from what you always seemed destined to do .. to something that really helps you connect in ways I could only dream of.
I'm not sure .. actually I am sure (!) that I don't have the courage to do the same.
